I often wonder what you would do out here for your morning [uar].

It is often a really dangerous undertaking to get one & there have been a great many fatalities amongst those frequenting. They (the latrines) always seem to be in exposed places where one is open to bullet & M.G. fire & in some localities they seem to be particularly favoured by Jack Johnsons & the lesser tribe of explosives.

What on earth would Oliver do for instance! He would be one of those who never attempt anything till the end of the tour - I see Beaufin Irving is wounded & a prisoner. Heaven save me from that fate. That is the principal reason for carrying a pistol
