My dear brother,

Christmas parcels are indeed beginning to come in.  We have to send two G.S. wagons every night to the town [illegible] office for the parcels.  Your wonderful parcel came last night with something of everything I could possibly want.  We never carry any drugs though we can never get any from the M.O. except castor oil or a dose of salts but I was trying to get a tin of [illegible] or something like that + you send me two.  I had been thinking seriously of getting some Horlick's Milk tablets + lo + behold 2 bott. in my parcel.  Only yesterday I was going to send my batman for some shaving soap and + again the lucky bag produces a beautiful tin case with just the right thing in it.  The nut candy is delicious + it is hard to get away from it.  The porous plasters I shall hand over to the N.C.O for some less lucky person than myself for I have not been

Christmas parcels are indeed beginning to come in. We have to send two G.S. wagons every night to the town [illegible] office for the parcels. Your wonderful parcel came last night with something of everything I could possibly want. We never carry any drugs though we can never get any from the M.O. except castor oil or a dose of salts but I was trying to get a tin of Zambuk or something like that + you send me two.
