There are over 200 officers here & some thousands of men - we live in dry tents with board floors, three in a tent & although they give us 7 hours a day of instruction it is regarded as a privilege & a rest to be here.
Considering those facts they might give us a better mess as they charge us 3 frs a day over rations & nearly every one dines out
