While I wish to write to you the mood for letter writing is not on me therefore the result I am afraid will be dull in the extreme.  You will have heard from Nell that our tour of duty at the front has been completed for the time and that the remains of the Bn are now in rest billets + that I in charge of a small party of men from our Divn have been sent here for a course of special instruction on the Lewis machine gun.  By the way, the scope + limitations of that gun
