when one looks back but here we are - The 29th Bn has once more covered itself with glory & several of our officers have been recommended for high distinction.
The newer officers have not much chance these occasions principally because they are rarely given work except under a senior officer who of course being the real leader is entitled to the credit for the work.
Otherwise Joe wd probably come in for something but his O.C. who did marvellously well & is entitled to first consideration will probably get a D.S.O.
