emplacement & crush it flat & solemnly march down a trench enfilading it from end to end - One was seen marching down the street of a village we took from the enemy with a lot of cheering Tommies coming behind.

They put one right through a huge mine crater - it thinks nothing of going across a 10 ft trench. There was wild excitement when they passed through us at night - Our Bn is now supposed to be resting for [ano?] coup but they won't let us stop anywhere; we are always on the tour - Thank mother for her dear letters & Fowkes for his budget of news.
