On arrival we were at once brought face to face with our first casualties - Andrews is with the [Ba?] [alberall?] but we have not seen him yet. Willis Langley  has a staff job as Paymaster but not with us [?] not far off so he ought to be all right.

You might show this letter to Nell as it is more up to date than my last to her. There is a splendid atmosphere of brotherhood here in all ranks which it is splendid to feel.
