Well there is little to write of here, it is just the same old grind, work like the dickens to send a pupil off "solo" and then see him go up and do everything he was told not to do and end up smashing the machine in landing. Fortunately about 95% of the "crashes" never even shake the man up, for otherwise we would be awfully short of pilots.

Since I last wrote I have recieved a cheque for $200.13, balance due on uniform allowance also a verification of my commission, which means that I am no longer on probation but a fully qualified flying officer and wear the wings on my left breast. I expect to go to Toronto in a couple  of weeks to be fitted for my uniform and while there will have a photo taken at last.I know you have been wanting one for a long time, but I think it will be nicer to have one of me as a "finished product" rather than as a cadet, don't you
