I was quite surprised when you proceeded to tell about Mrs. Lewis's visit. I did not know she was coming to see you, even. I suppose you mentioned it in your previous letter- no 38. I am so glad you enjoyed her visit with motoring and bridge to pass the time. Wish I had been there to see her. | ||

Dearest Mother:-
Two of your letters -n os 39 and 40 - have reached me since I last wrote you. This leaves no 38 which I have not received. I was quite surprised when you proceeded to tell about Mrs. Lewis's visit.
