Our squadron has saved one of our bombing flights from extermination and has done so well all around that we have earned a reputation of being "hard on Huns." Of course all this patrolling and scrapping entails hard work and we really need a rest. I have just come in after returning from another aerodrome where I was forceed to land owing to a broken part in my engine and am so tired that my hands won't steady down. Hence this horrible scrawl which I hope you will excuse. |
