This ship is not so very large; in fact smaller than the Empresses of "Russia and Asia" which displace 18,000 tons, I think . The Missanabie and Metagama displace about 14,000.

I recieved your letter Mother dear but have not got it near me. I am glad you will use the money I want you too. I think I might find that I can spare more after I find what my pay amounts to in England. Tell Dad I will write him before going to England.
