before the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace for the said County of Kootenay this 10th day of February, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three, at Revelstoke [?] [?] in the presence and hearing of Ki Chung who stands charged that He did commit an assault with intent to murder an Wang Depp Chong at Clan William on Saturday Jany 23d 1903 by cutting him the aforesaid Wang Depp Chong with an axe on the head and other injuries to him did do

The said deponent saith n his Oath as follows: on Saturday night January 23d I was instructed to go to Clan William on[/] no one to bring in a chinaman who was supposed to  have been wounded by another chinaman who was also to be brought in. arrived at the [?] William about mid night Sleeping bar used by chinaman was guarded by ten or twelve Section[?] men in going into bar I found Ki Chung sitting in bunk having in his hands hatchet marked Exhibit A and knife marked Exhibit B I arrested him and brought him to  Revelstoke Lock up

The said deponent saith n his Oath as follows: on Saturday night January 23d I was instructed to go to Clan William on[/] no one to bring in a chinaman who was supposed to  have been wounded by another chinaman who was also to be brought in. arrived at the Clan William about mid night Sleeping bar used by chinaman was guarded by ten or twelve Section[?] men in going into bar I found Ki Chung sitting in bunk having in his hands hatchet marked Exhibit A and knife marked Exhibit B I arrested him and brought him to  Revelstoke Lock up
