The examination of Edward Metcalf of McDames Ck of Thomas [illegible] McDames Ck and Yip Sin of McDames Creek, Cassiar, taken on the fifth day of July in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and eighty seven at McDames Creek in the District or County aforesaid, before the undersigned one of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said District, in the presence and hearing of Ah Man a Chinaman who is this day charged before me for that he, the said Ah Man did at McDames Creek Cassiar on the 31st day of January 18 1887 wilfully and of malice aforethought did murder one Ah Wing a Chinaman.
