To L P Lewis my bailiff. I hereby authorize and require you to distrain the goods and chattels of Ah Jim 2 2 [?] in the district of Victoria City or of any goods and chattels in his possession wherever the same may be found within the district or of any goods or chattels found on his premises the property of or in the possession of any other occupant of the premises for $9.00 being one year 's taxes due to her Majesty for the year 1881 together with $3.50 for costs under the authority of the " Assessment Act 1876" and to proceed thereon for the recovery of the said taxes and costs as the law directs.dated this 32 day march 1881.
