I found the bag which I produce in court, in it I found some pieces of silk, produced, which corresponded with some stolen from the house of Mr. J.D. Pemberton sometime since, the prisoner Kim Foo told me at the time he was arrested that the bag was his property. I charge the prisoner Kim Foo with receving the silk well knowing the same to have been stolen. | ||

Colony of Vancouver Island and its Dependencies, To Wit:
The information and complaint of Arthur Taylor of Victoria in the Colony aforesaid, taken this 14th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six before me Augustus F. Pemberton Esq. one of her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said Colony of Vancouver Island and its Dependencies, who being sworn upon his oath, saith
