12. It is the duty of all employees to exercise every care and precaution in carrying on the work, and to report the lack of it in others.

13. The greatest care must be observed in the handling and transportation of all explosives. Such materials are always dangerous, and cannot be handled too carefully.

14. Each employee is expected to look after and be responsible for his own safety, and at the same time to use the utmost care to avoid injury to his fellow workmen and others.

15. Permission musts be obtained from the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent before using lanterns in buildings containing explosives. Lanterns must not be lighted within 50 feet of any explosives building. They must be kept clean and properly protected at all times. They must be filled only in the place designated by the Superintendent.
