we expect to visit that sacred spot. I am glad you sent me Jack's last letter to you, I will enclose it with this. He felt first the same about the notice of his winning the M.C. which appeared in our papers, when we sent them to him he burnt them all in a hurry for fear any of his men might see them. It was just like him, always so unassuming, ready to do the right thing without thought or reward or praise.

Life without him will be without interest for us
