Canterbury and Camberwell

Go to Canterbury via Chatham & Faversham - walked to Tomford with Winnie & loaf on the hilltop all afternoon. Take her to a picture show but can only stand half an hour of it. Letter from mother of Usher, my servant at Lydd, thanking me for being kind to him - also pkge toffee.

At home all morning - walk to Tomford Manor with Winnie in afternoon - pretty bad shape today.

F.W. Swannell in casualty list wnd. Return to hospital - half dazed the whole railway journey - compartment crowded at Chatham with navy men. Pretty bad all afternoon and evening. Receive $40 from Officer's Families Fund.

Bad all day.
