410 officer casualties. 1100 Canadian rank & file. Nurse Meares takes me to see Dr. Moore in afternoon. Takes Murphy & I to the Zoological Gardens. Taken over to the pathological lab for a blood test. Nichols put to bed - foregather in his room & listen to yarns of the big push from a Wiltshire officer who has German officer's diary.

Don't know what happened today - very bad night.

Another nightmare of a day.
