LIEUT. T. H. BEWLEY

Former official in the Water Rights Department, who has been killed in action. He was brought out to this country to investigate the placer mining prospects in the Atlin district by Lord Beauclerc, having been recommended by the late Mr. Warbuton Pike. He was killed almost instantaneously by the explosion of a shell. His mother is living in England, and no relatives are here at present.
