7 Friday [7-359] Clear Bright Day for a wonder Lecture on Instrumental Ranging & working example PM. Maj.Vereker badly balled up about the compass - Imagines variation dependent on longitude. Afternoon try ranging but rather a force - reading to minutes on Myles [vraidline?] buttons - A Beckell Tod by Maj. that [heceront] do for siege - extra lecture by Lieut Webster - Shoers & Berrieks - Warring & Walker take in show tonight

8 Saturday [ 8-358 ] Cambridge Lent Term begins Fire Insurances expire

Route march of sorts & [fareical?] map reading - Revolver practise in ditch of fort - Heys fires 2 shots at his toes & Myles nearly pots the Major Walker & I walk along.
