If you know of anybody wishing to send X little comforts to our boys I wish you would give them the names of the poor lads of my old section - who have no hope of promotion and a winter campaign ahead. Pte Geo Tuckere No 77185 Pte Kenny Bateman 77100 Pte Harry Findley 77127 Pte J. Bennett - Grenade Section No 1. Coy. 16th Batt. Canadian Scottish 3rd Inf. Bde CE.F France They are splendid chaps - all from the Northern Interior of BC. Eatables - chocolate especially - or home-made candy are most appreciated. For some reason everybody sends cigarettes or tobacco of which there is an overplus. - and many of us dont smoke
