Monday October 25th/15

Working all day at office in [Ecole?] de Dessin – Disagreeable, cold wet day after a stormy night. No special activity took place yesterday on our front except for a violent bombardment by the enemy opposite the right, lasting for about 15 minutes + then with less intensity for another 15 minutes. Our snipers record four hits and our MGo were successful in dispersal of the enemy's working parties at several points of the line. British Front – Intelligence Summary No 33. Sir John French reports that the salient in front of Loos is firmly established in enemy's line + that repeated German attacks have been repulsed. There was heavy hostile shelling of our front trenches + support [Const.?] south of the Vermelles-Hulluch
