Wednesday - October 6th/15 Bailleul

Nothing of note took place on our front. Enemy is still very quiet, but doing considerable work.

Artillery - At different times practically the whole of our front was shelled. One casualty in the 16th. Bombing - Trenches in N.24s were bombed by the enemy, apparently using a French gun. Machine gun, Rifle fire - MGs active in N36th - fairly continuous fire being kept up during the night. Rifle fire active but spasmodic. Searchlight reported last night again seen German Transport moving 8:30 - 10:45pm Relief took place at midnight opposite Wytschaete. XV Corps - Two men of 126th Regt & a deserter of the 172nd surrendered confirming presence of all XV Corps Troops on the Front Hooge to the Canal.
