keen to see what sort of reception the civilians will give us, I expect they will be pretty cold, from all accounts, according to the French & Belgian civilians they hate Canadians the most! It has certainly been a great experience our victorious march through Belgium, all the towns that we have passed through, all the welcome, towns beflagged etc. Vive L'Angleterre, Vive La Canadiens! The route that we have travelled you can follow out on the map as I am allowed to mention names of places. We came by way of Valenciennes, Temappes, Hensies, Soignes, Nivelles, Gemblout, Andenne. This will interest Father perhaps, he is a good hand at locating places on the map. I was sorry we did not
