comfortable & has a splendid view over the channel, the water edge is within a stone's throw. There is a splendid promenade stretching I should say well over a mile long, with comfortable benches, chairs etc. scattered all the way along. I spent several hours of the afternoon basking in the sun & watching the crowd, the sight of a comfortable chair in the sun was too much to resist! When I got tired of watching the crowd I turned my attentions on the ships, aeroplanes etc, & altogether spent quite a interesting but very slack afternoon.
