I have been staying at Imperial Hotel, Russell Sq. and it was not half so nice and more expensive, however, I'll know another time where to come and after all, one only learns by experience!

I managed to get a week's leave all right, Oliphant and I got off together and I regret to say that our leave has nearly expired, we have to report back sometime tomorrow at Seaford Camp, a week seems to slip by in no time and one really has hardly any time to do anything.

I made a hurried run up to Edinburgh to see the relatives. Left Kings X at 10 pm and got in Waverly Stn 8am. It was a matter of sitting up all
