mouth & behaving in a foolish manner. He was arrested and got 8 days on bread & water, & his companion got the same. Serves them right. Late this p.m. a large zeppelin airship was cruising about over Dresden for several hours. There appeared to be some men with a gun on top of the envelope, near the bow.

Aug. 6. Horses being collected in great numbers, and as usual all day men marching & singing. Some already in uniform but most without. Every day thousands are being sent to the front fully equipped as fast as the trains can carry them. They always sing their war songs
