ECOIURES - went there with 2nd Lieut Farr. We both had tea with 2nd Lieut Austin. When we got back we had one case of Spotted Fever. Midnight wires from various MOs

July 7th Very busy all day. Got ACQ polls ready to go away Very severe thunder storms & heavy rain.

July 8th Sun. Quite stormy. Walked with Toyer to see our men at ECOURY. Called on Capt Johnson. Had lunch with him in his dug out. Sent ACQ polls away. Received stationery from Base. Very quiet. Expect Austin "He came".

July 9th Very busy all day. Went to see Austin. Had lunch with him. Went on to ACQ & back to BRUNO Ferry. Austin had tea with me. Called a meeting of officers to elect a Mess president & Lieut York was chosen. In evening went out to a nice [illegible] place with Austin & York. A very nice young lady there.
