a letter from father who tells me mother has the measles. Also a letter from Millicent Williams. The bombardment of last nights still going on.

May 7th Very busy all day up to midnight. We were again shelled but with duds. Peterson fell in cess pool, very nearly drowned. Went on a gas course. Had a very nice letter from Emma Monkton & one from Jessie & [illegble] from Marjorie. Motored to AGNEZ-LE DUISANS with Capt Thomas. We move tomorrow again.

May 8th. [illegible] Most awfully busy. Moved with my Coy to AGNEZ-LES DUISANS. In Misson huts. Very cold at night. No sleep. Our bombardment right through out the whole night more gigantic & indescribable & up to date the most severe.

May 9th Bombardment still raging. Very busy all day. Had a letter from M & Father.

May 10th. Very nice day. Very busy sending in returns on account of both
