We also went through Le-Souich a dear old well wooded village with its much noted castle, famous in history for its mineral waters etc

Feb 15th Went to headquarters - saw the C.O. & motored with Capt. Williams to draw 3.400 Francs for men's pay - also very busy on roads.

Feb 16th C.O. came out & tried a prisoner for Insubordinate language & gave him 21 days Field Imprisonment No. 2. Town Mayor called & brought the new Town Mayor Lieut Austan R.F.A. In the afternoon very busy on roads. D.A.C. Chaplin called & took tea with us. Little rains, very big mine went off probably Arras. The Chaplin is Rev Creighton, Son of Bishop Creighton.

Feb 17th Very busy on roads & Orderly room. New 2nd Lieut Austan of R.F.A. joined our Mess.

Feb 18th Sunday. Went to headquarters - saw C.O. Roads very bad after the thaw. Went with Webb & Skinner to Pri Houvain & dined with Capt Brooks & 2nd Lieut

Feb 19 Busy on roads - Sykes etc later Town Mayor departed for Givenchy-Le-Noble
