EXTRACTS FROM POST CARDS RECEIVED FROM PRISONERS OF WAR

Giessen. W. F. Reed

"Received your parcel through Red Cross Society, London, for which I thank you very much; no doubt you have heard from my Mother acknowledging parcels received earlier. We boys are in the best of health end spirits.

Giessen. C. C. Maine

"The weekly parcels are arriving in good shape, and the selection of edibles is very pleasing. Sincerely hope that Canada's Grain Crop will be up to the standard of last year. Some of us figure to see the fruit on the trees in the Fall: We are all fit and well and in the best of spirits "

Giessen. P.D. McMillan

"Received your parcel sent through Canadian Red Cross a few days ago in good condition, and had a card Yesterday that they had sent another, and thank you very much. I received eight from you around Christmas for which I thank you very much. I had written Mother to thank you before."

Giessen. W. Patterson.

"Please convey my most grateful thanks to the ladies of Falkland for their splendid weekly parcel which reaches ne regularly."

Giessen. Allen Feller.

"A line to inform you I have received parcel from you through Red Cross. Please accept my sincere thrnks for same. Trusting this will find you safely."

"Thank you very much indeed for the weekly parcel you so kindly sent me. I have had one regular one for some time. I hope you won't mind my only answering once a month."

"Many thanks for parcel received through you."

"Many thanks for parcel of food which reached me in good condition 2nd of May."

"Many thanks for parcel received. (April 11th.)

"I received a parcel from you through the Canadian Red Cross for which I am very thankful to you. I hope the War will soon end and we get back to Canada."

Cellelager C. R. Fetterby

"I have received two cards from you lately informing me that Mrs. Sillitoe was sending some parcels and asking me to acknowledge them, but owing to circumstances here I cannot always find the number on them. However, I get a parcel nearly every week and so does each of my brothers who are here with me; and with one a week from you and an occasional one we get from our home, which is B. C. we get along nicely. I do hope you won't leave off sending as it would make it very awkward for us."
