By the Parishioners of East & West Barkwith, Assembled on the Day of The National Celebration of Peace;

In token of their grateful appreciation : -- Of her readiness to serve her Country in its great hour of need; Of all that she endured; Of all her gallant service; And of the part she took in SAVING THEIR HOMES; and in gaining ... The Great Victory. - by which - Right is upheld, National Liberty is maintained, and, it is hoped, In the League of Nations, secured for the future, For all the Nations of the World.
