Allan Aylsworth while I was in London. He says Sir Wilfrid is our only statesman and the one man capable of leading us at present moment.

Too bad old Sir Wilfrid cannot be a little more definite, so that one could say exactly where he stands. But no matter where he stands, he is necessarily too old to handle affairs at this time, it seems to me.

Get rid of Borden, undoubtedly all seem to agree on that, but also get rid of all the "party-first" men and, in their places, put men whose first object is to win the war. This is the pressing need and the only thing worthwhile
