WRITTEN AT Vernon CAMP 54th BATT C COMPANY

Oct 19th 1915

Dear Friend Fred

We have not got away yet. but we are waiting on word to move any day. a Draft of the 54th went away on Sunday night. 10 Oclock for England. Fred I am sending on a picture of the 54th Batt. I have marked all the Barkerville Boys with a pin. the Hole is on There Body so you can hold it to the light and you will see us Micky Mercer is on The Front Row. a Drummer. and the two holes close together is Harry Brierley on Top and Charlie Evens the Bottom. Ellis below them. I am on the Right Hand side of them. and Tom Brierley is on the very Top. Machine Gun Section. I have shaved the upper off again what did you Think of the other picture PC size I sent on
