S.I.F. 29/11/16

Dear Fred

The draw back to writing a letter in two parts (necessary because of small envelopes) is that I have all ready in part forgotten what I wrote in first half. I do not think it would have made any difference to results but I know a lot of Soldiers frm B.C. in France who did not get the chance to vote. I on behalf of self & 13 others made a request to be allowed to vote. But we realy were not in a postition to make voting easy & we did not vote. This of course is to be expected when at war near front line. I got yours of Sept 8 also your last of Oct 16 O.K. Our life here is very busy & the combination of time to & conveniencers for writing do not always come together. Also things happen to us & our friends that help us to forget lots of things not
