New address till I get a better one

Pioneer E. Seeley 489697 1st Canadian Pioneers Army P.O. France

June 15/16

Dear Fred,

Have at last got a bit of time on hand. Having come off a 36 Hour turn as Cpl of the Guard (30 men) of Folkstone Water Works & having then to go the M.O. to be examined as to my fitness for France to morrow. I passed the M.O. all right though he hesitated a bit & sent out to see if I ever fell out on a march.

It was reported to him that I could march without falling out (a easy thing to do) so said he over you go. I have made a will & am sending it to you as you kindly promised to look after things for me if any thing happens to me.

I have sent to my sisters another will exactly like the one I enclose & told them to send it on to you if the one with this gets lost (in case of submarine or other things)

They understand that the one with them is only for use in that case & is to be sent to you.

I have also told them to write & let you know if I get hurt. I of course gave one of them as next of kin. The Canadian Govt Army Pay & Record Office London Eng send out a notice to all next of kin & is I hear prompt & efficient.
