Victoria Work Point Barracks

Dear Mother:-

I received the handkerchiefs, and was certainly glad to get them. I also appreciate the quick service. It has been very foggy here for the last few days. The Duke of Devonshire was here inspecting the troops. He went up the Island yesterday on a special train. A great big War Bond Dance was held Friday in the Empress Hotel and a luncheon on Saturday, in honour of some French and American Officers. If you want me to come home for Christmas you will have to send some money, because I have'nt got enough.
