Last Tuesday we had a night alarm, they got the whole camp up and went out about twenty miles and had breakfast. We stayed there till after dinner and got back about six o'clock so we were a pretty tired bunch of fellows that night. they are letting twenty five men out of each battery go for six weeks harvest leave. I don't know whether I will go or not but I think I will go any place to get out of here six weeks. I must go to stables now.

With love to all Bert.
