some war pictures that were very good indeed. It showed the tanks and all kinds of guns in action.

Yesterday I went to Bible class and church, had lunch with Ellen and came out to barracks to mount piquet at 5 p.m.

It has been raining almost incessantly for the last five days. Will Jameson spent Saturday afternoon and night at the Rector, leaving Sunday morning. He said Herbie was spending the weekend with [illegible ].

If Harry and Aunt Lizzie are not coming this week, would you please as Elizabeth to send that writing material etc.

Everybody is very well. Your loving son Vernon.
