My Dear Mother:

I'm sorry to say this is Wednesday and I have not got this letter off yet.

Nothing the least bit exciting has happened during the past week. Last Wednesday I stayed in barracks for a change and went to a concert in the "Y" building. The stringed Orchestra from the C.P.R. Empress of Asia was there and
