I had a hard time trying to pursuade him to ride tourist. He finally gave in, so we shared a lower berth at $1.50.

Arthur had only got us a couple days extended leave and was trying for more when he got the letter, saying not to bother.

Our clothes were awful and still retain a little of their fragrance when the porter was fixing up thing in the morning. The conductor stopped him and said "Porter isn't their something musty around here?" Our berth was just opposite to that of the porter
