run around in. We just had the last of the strawberries. There was none to be had any place when we left. Henry gave us a box of chocolates and a big fruit cake to bring back to camp. They wanted us to wire for an extension but we knew it would be useless.

We got back to camp yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, did a little work, were inoculated for the 3rd time and slept the afternoon. It is quite hot to-day. We have just come back from a swimming parade. The water was fine.

Give my love to Polly and the rest of the family. Your loving son Vernon.
