Petawawa Ont. May 30/17

Dear Mother:

Just a line now while I am resting after dinner. Our menu was soup, boiled meat, boiled potatoes with jackets on, gravy, tea and bread & butter. Bert is lying down asleep just a foot away.

We arrived here in camp 8:30 am. May 29 and spent that day getting things up from the tracks which are about ¾ of a mile away.

This morning we had physical jerks before breakfast of mush, bacon, coffee, bread and butter.
