It has been raining for the last two days but we can't grumble as it has been a great winter -

I am going to get some handkerchiefs & soxs that an old French woman has washed for me and then I am going to bed -

I had a letter from Vernon last week but he had just written to you so I did not save it. Once a fellow composes a letter he makes it do
