about time you stopped and let us do something. I haven't heard from Major Allen yet so I am writing to Bardolph today. I want to get down to the cavalry before they get me into the infantry again.

If Bert is going to enlist why not get him to take an officers course at Victoria and go into the A.S.C. he could handle that kind of a job better by far than most of the ones I've seen, talk to Father about it. It is the very best thing he could possibly do. I will close now Mother.
