We are in a quieter part of the line now and it is a great relief. The Canadians certainly had a stiff time in the big push they certainly soaked it us for six weeks, and some very good work was accomplished in the way of fighting. but it was a big sacrifice. Capt. Edwards had his two hands blown off and Alf Smith was killed. (Jim Mills son) Major Foster is getting the D.S.O. for taking one of Fritz's strong points with his company.
