[July] Sat 10th [1915]

English cities.

The escort just arrived this morning and it is a great relief to everybody. We are not very far from land now and I will certainly be glad to stand on something solid again.

Last night we only took off our coats and shoes and slept on top of the beds with our life belts right beside us. I was good and ready to get out if anything happened. I put a cable in to say that I had arrived.
