My Dearest Dodie,
I cannot tell you how disappointed I have been lately on account of not hearing from you.
I suppose it is all my fault. I confess it has been a long time since I dropped you a few lines. It was not because I had forgotten you, dear Dodie, on the contrary I often think of you and Ruth and wonder how things are going for you both.
