Dearest.

I wonder if you can ever forgive me for not writing before but I am the most awful corespondent living.

We have been at the front for some weeks passed now & are having a real good time. We were not like the first contingent who were over there for months before they saw the front line, we went right up the first week and my word it is great sport. I did send you a post card years ago and I wonder if it ever got to you. I am writing this in the trenches
